Summary

The prompt was to design a desktop solution where the “community can celebrate shared stories together through communal and authentic experiences.”

Our solution, Drive In Theater, is a digital recreation of the drive in theatre experience. It allows you to join your friends in a “car” and watch movies and shows together via a chat on the side, as well as a video call below the screen. Users can also drive to different theaters (scheduled showings of movies and shows) and join a global audience to watch at the same time. Users can also create their own theaters dedicated to specific topics, shows, actors, directors, etc. The addition of a friend activity bar, as well as insights and stats of your viewing compatibility with friends allows you to better decide what to watch with your friends.
