My Design Journey

College was my first exposure to product design, given Berkeley’s proximity to Silicon Valley. However, ever since my first design project, I’ve been hooked on design (but maybe also to not waste my eleven years of fine art training). Hopefully my decision was on the right track.

Though because of this, my only hobbies seem to only involve something design, art, or aesthetic related.

My Philosophy

I believe through design, I can empower and educate people to live their meaningful lives. This means crafting experiences that directly impact people. Whether that be encouraging designers to publish to Community on Figma, or creating an onboarding program to kickstart a Youtuber’s journey, I aim to use my design skills to help others.

Also, given the right tools and education, I believe that anyone can do design — hence why I taught a brand design class and the Figma class, and created a non-exclusive design community at Berkeley! Design education should be accessible and inclusive for all those who are interested, and hence as a designer, it is my job to make sure these needs are met.
